Basement Remodeling Cost of Project
Basement Remodeling Cost of Project

How much will my basement remodeling project cost me? Well that depends on how much of the actual work you are prepared to do yourself and, just how fancy is your new finished basement going to be? Will it have a bathroom? Will it have a fancy bar area? Will it have a home theater? A home gym? A home office???? Only you know the answers to these questions!

But as a rule of thumb, if you are doing most of the work yourself, below I have a list of what you can expect to spend for each different phase of the job. These prices are my own personal prices, the prices I actually use to estimate the cost of the basement finishing projects that my basement remodeling company has been asked to bid-on! At the end of the list, I will also give you some estimated subcontractor (labor only) prices for the phases of the job that you may not want to tackle yourself! I have obviously included EVERYTHING that I would need in this list to finish a basement project! Some of these things you may already have at home! But if you had none of these items, this is what you will need to put the entire project together!

I should add that this is my materials list for a basement project which has the following job design criteria:

1.) The job has a Bathroom w/ a Sewage Ejector System
2.) The job has a eat bar w/ a Tray Pump System
3.) The job is roughly an 800 sq. ft. finished area
4.) The job has 4 interior doors needed
5.) The job has a tile bathroom floor being installed
6.) The ceilings in the basement are drywall
7.) The job has 2 birch bookcases being built and installed
8.) The basement has a floor to ceiling height of about 9′ or less
9.) The Basement needs an “egress exit” window or door to pass local codes for permits
10.) Some phases of the project may or may not be finished by the owner (thus the labor prices)

This pricing list should give you a wonderful reference starting point from which to figure your total Do-It-Yourself basement project construction cost!

The cost / Sq foot is going to be pretty close to the same..about $100-$120/sq ft. However, the basement may be less if nothing needs to gutted or re-plumbed or new electrical. Then your probably looking at only $75-100. Hope that helps.

If I understand your question…….THATS A BIG HOLE YOUR MAKING……

the foot print will be 40X60 (outside demetions) and lets say 9' deep.. so you calc..

(40×60x9) / 27= 800 cubic yards of dirt.

BUT !!! You will need to make the hole bigger than that to give workers room to form the walls….

so lets say you give them 5' working room on 3 sides……..

that would mean (50×65x9) / 27 =1083 yards to move but only 800 to haul off…

You will need to bid this with your local folks…

Good luck….

I know it been a while since I asked what kind of hair the tree braids were, but now I’m ready to get it done, and I was wondering how many packs of hair it took and also how many inches is that hair, also how long does the style usually last and it that hair synthetic or human? I know its a lot to ask but I would really appreciate it .

Contractor Support also is very about making sure that we were happy with the quality of their work. About a week after they were done it we discovered that one whole wall had not been properly primed and needed to be redone. The guys from Contractor Support were down there the next day to redo the work–no hassles and no extra charge. contractorsupportonline
