Hair Styling

Hair is made of a type of protein called keratin. Keratins are proteins; long chains of amino acids. Hair is actually a modified type of skin. Hairstyle, or hairdo normally describes cutting or styling hair on the top of the head, although it may also refer to the the cutting and styling of facial hair.Hair styles are often used to signal cultural, social, and ethnic identity and can be used to illustrate social status or individuality. It is a common misconception that men and women have the same hair. Different types of hair such as curly, straight, coarse, or fine will dictate the kind of hairstyle one may have.Straight Hair can be thick or thin but when in perfect, shiny condition, it gives the impression of a shimmering sheet of hair. A straight, blunt cut to the length you decide is best. Curly Hair is perhaps the most versatile.
Short hairstyles are most of the popular hairstyles. A short hair style that suits you and your lifestyle can dramatically change the way you feel and look. It is about the basic elements of balance, line and movement. Layered hairstyles are one of the most popular hairstyles these days. This style works best on straight hair, preferrably long hair. Layered hairstyles begin with fringes and locks and then the layers are appropriately given. The layers are then done for the complete hair length. The longer the hair the more visible this hairstyle. If you want a longer hold for your style when using a curling iron, try spraying the hair before you iron with a thermal styling spray. Other hair style ponytail hair style. Ponytails look absolutely adorable when worn by young girls and tots, but they also look chic and classy on mature women.
Bob cut is a classic short hairstyle where the ends are cut just around chin length and aligned close to the facial area. Long hair style offers many different hairstyle options, that other hair lengths do not. A layered long hairstyle is a very versatile cut that gives definition to the face.Long hair is traditionally accepted as a female characteristic in western cultures. A buzz cut is the American name for a type of haircut named after the sound of the electric razor, which is used to shear the hair very closely to the scalp. It is also a popular summer haircut for children, mainly males. It is one of the most rapid haircuts possible, and can take little more than a minute to cut when done with good quality clippers. A buzz cut is worn by some men to conceal thinning hair.

Help answer the question about short hair style
What are some ways a girl can style short hair?I recently got my hair cut, the longest part is maybe somewhere around 4inches long, and i have side bangs, and a lot of layers. I have EXTREMELY thick hair, and i usually let it dry and put a headband in it. I like it, but i would like some new hair styles, i might be able to some type of "bump" thing in the front but i'm not quite sure how to do it. Any styling tips? pictures would help out a lot too.
My hair is kind of wavy, but since i got it cut it is generally pretty straight, if this helps at all.

i would suggest you go to the salon where your going to get your hair done and ask the stylist if she/he can give you an idea about wether or not your hair will stay styled. then go from there. worse comes to worse you may need to see if you can find a hairstylist somewhere else that will give you a later appointment.
hope that helps and have fun!!!

Yes, it will cost more to add a cut, but usually not the full price of a cut and style because the style is already included. Ask your stylist that will be coloring your hair how much extra for a cut.
May I commend you for having your color done profesionally. You will have it done right and with no problems that you'd more than likely end up with doing it yourself. btw….I don't know where you live, but that's a good price. Consult with her/him and make sure they know exactly what you want and how to take care of it.

Well congragulations for being in a pageant but if they are having a talent competition then you might want to try something different because I don't know if they will give u a long enough time to do someones hair up on the stage but possibly it might work but when you sign up and get your number than you might want to make sure that it would be okay to have that as your talent IF they have a talent comepetition .If they are just going to SAY your talents then that would be fine to have that.

I'm pretty sure the brand Got 2 Be has a spray that comes in a brown or copper colored bottle that's especially for that. I can't remember the exact name of the product but Wal Mart has it and Got 2 Be is inexpensive.
