Jennifer Lopez has been on our style radar for some time now, shocking us with daring choices and dazzling jewelry that is fabulously frivolous and over the top. Though most of us probably can’t afford to spring for Jennifer Lopez size gems, we can take some tips from her to create jewelry looks that add glamour to our own wardrobe.

Jennifer Lopez makes her own rules, as she chooses combinations including both ions.com/sterlingsilver.html” target=”_blank”>gold and sterling silver jewelry. On a recent promotional experience she wore a large silver chain link bracelet with a jumbo size pair of hoop earrings and a handful of rings. She favors hoop earrings, often choosing oversize textured pairs to compliment a flowing hair style.

Mrs. Mark Anthony also likes to pile on the bangles, wearing wristfuls of sterling silver thin bracelets as a casual accessory. She also stacks large wooden bangles, sporting several at a time, plus big earrings and fancy necklaces to complete an outfit.

Jennifer Lopez’s jewelry style is versatile and fashion, as she switches back and forth from pop rocker to glam goddess. Onstage, she needs to be the center of attention, rocking piles of accessories. But lately, her red-carpet look has leaned more toward tailored and posh, consisting more of classic pieces like humongous diamond studs, which shine with an elegant up-do. Other favors include romantic art deco drop earrings with matching bezel-set bracelet. Often the gowns she wears are decadent unto themselves, so she’s careful to choose jewelry that doesn’t overpower. Instead, it adds just the right touch of sparkle.

To get her look, try opting for costume jewelry with glitzy gems in fun colors like canary yellow or baby pink. Also, dare to wear gold and silver at the same time if the designs are similar. Just remember that your signature style doesn’t necessarily have to follow a certain set of style rules. You can play with jewelry and mix it up, just like Jennifer Lopez.

You could have it cut into long layers so that it will be lighter and less hair to deal with. Have the stylist cut the shortest layer long enough to put up into a pony tail. She can straighten it, part it, scrunch it or do it half up. I use a product by Garnier Fructis called leave in cream conditioner curl and shine. I just put it in while my hair is still wet and let it dry on its own and thats about all I do to it. I do have bangs because I have a big forehead and some days I wish I didn't have them (I've grown them out but, either it dosen't look good or; I am not used to it). I do have to style them always I wish I could wear them sort of swooped over my forehead and and pinned down but my BANGS are too short.

Go to longhairloom.com then to their Styling Station Central. They have a ton of great styles that you could start with. I'm not sure how they'd do with curly hair though (I'm a wavy). You might want to check naturallycurly.com also. I'm sure they'd have some style ideas.

I've done a french twist with my hair when it's still damp after washing it. I've notice it's much more managable and easier to work with when it's wet to do this hairstyle vs. doing it when it's dry. If your hair is too heavy to stay up with just some hair pins. Use a hair clip and leave the top part curly. You can dress this style up or wear it casually. :)

I have done a lot of research regarding faster hair growth, but unfortunately there is no product out there that is proven to make your hair grow faster. Healthy hair, howeveer, can be achieved by keeping your curly hair hydrated by using oils daily on your hair, drinking plenty of water, and considering taking biotin vitamins (which promotes healthy hair, skin, and nails).

My recommendation is to stop washing it daily. Wash every other day and don't blow it dry. If you want to keep straightening it, you need to stop drying it as well. Also, is your cut made for straight or wavy/curly hair? You may need a trip to the salon (sounds like it from your breakage comment) to get a new cut that you can wear either way. As far as how to style it curly, after you wash it, towel dry it. Then use a curl cream or gel that minimizes frizz and let it air dry (I like to do this overnight). Then in the morning use a little detangler or leave-in conditioner and pin your bangs back with a bobby pin or two. Voila! :)

PS – if you live in Texas near Fort Worth I have a great hair guy!
