I am with you on the grease!!!!!!! LOL!! My haircut is very similar to yours, almost identical, but I keep my back tapered. But I LOVE this video. Thank you for taking the time to show us how you curl it. I know about all the other stuff you did, the wrap papers, foaming wrap lotion, hooded dryer. But I’m afraid to use flat irons. I always just style with my fingers & grease!! I’m definitely subscribing!!

…but from the 1st and 2nd pics in the set of 4, it seems like the edge of your frontal hairline is at a place where the skull has turned mostly horizontal to the top of the head. I am not sure if this is because you have a loose scalp and you have your hair pulled back tightly into a pony tail. So, I think a hairline revealing style would look fine, but it might look better with the hair partly on to the forehead and just covering the hairline. A Forward Brush doesn't usually look the best with straight hair but suits wavy/curly hair:
