Decorative Garland:

A garland is usually a decorative type of wreath or a braided cord, which can be used year round or just at festive occasions. The word “garland” actually comes from the French word “guirlande” which means “a wreath of flowers”. These braided cords can be small and hung around a person’s neck, or placed on the head, or larger and hung on inanimate objects. Originally garlands and wreaths were made of flowers and/or leaves. These were worn on people’s heads, around their necks and draped around buildings. Today they can be artificial or real; some of the more popular types are made of flowers, leaves, tinsel, pine or a combination of any of these. Many people prefer the artificial as it will last longer and can be used many times. And today it is very hard to tell the difference between real and artificial garland without a close examination.

Uses for Garland:

Garland can generally be used at anytime of the year to add an extra touch to make the home look nicer or it can be used just for special occasions to really help make things stand out, such as at:

• Weddings
• Birthdays
• Receptions
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas
• Parties

At these occasions it can be hung around the party room, or for outdoor venues it can be placed on or around the tables, gazebo or the buildings itself. It helps to give the occasion a look of nature, symbolizing a rebirth, a new beginning, that it is growing and to show that hope springs eternal. Garland has been used around the world for thousands of years at festivals and special occasions for this same symbolic purpose.

Garland at Weddings:

This is where the type of decoration is determined by the type of party or event. Ribbons or bows are a common way of decorating the garland. For a birthday a more colorful ribbon would be used and of course for Christmas most use a red ribbon or red bows. For weddings, people often use ribbons or bows that are white, or ivory, or the color of the brides-maids dresses. A colored ribbon could be wrapped around the garland before it is hung or bows could be hung on the garland at certain locations. There are even special hangers that you can use when hanging garland. These will fit over most doors or banisters to allow you to hang the garland pretty much anyway that you would like to and keep it from sliding around. Some weddings might even use the garland to form a circle on the ground around the bride and groom as a representation of their never ending love or love as one eternal round. With garland being like a braid it makes picking it up to store it away very easy, as it can be coiled up like an electric cord and placed in a plastic bag and or in a box to be stored away until it’s next use.

A concern among women with black or African hair is how does one use oil? Should your black hair be wet or dry?

The first question to ask is what hair oil are you using and what do you want from the oil?

There are many hair oils out there for black hair but they are not all created equal

In my opinion you need oil that does the following

Stop hair loss

Prevent dandruff

Moisturise your black hair

Stop itchy scalp conditions

Give the hair shine and volume

In my opinion the best women black hair oil is Mira hair oil because it does all the above

Women black hair care secrets tip #1 with Mira hair oil you can use the oil in both wet and dry hair. The Mira hair oil is a very light oil and it serves as a barrier between any heat application and your precious black hair. The best way to use the oil though is to apply the oil on the scalp and allow it to soak into the scalp for an hour and then you wash it off

And when your hair is wet you can put a little bit of the oil as a moisturizer. After you straighten your hair, you can put some of the Mira hair oil as a shine or sheen agent

And every time you want to straighten your black hair you simply use the hair oil treatment or deep condition so that your hair stays healthy, moist and healthy

Plus because the oil is al natural and does it all to your hair you don’t have to use tons of products which are the cause of all your hair problems to begin with.

Do not apply any oil on your black hair because if you put the oil before you straighten your hair it will burn, get damaged and you will get dry brittle. Always the oil afterward to your hair for shine

Create sort of like a smoke and that will damage your hair (you don’t want that to happen), so it best to apply oil sheen…afterwards

another women black hair care secret is to wash your hair apply the oil to it when it is damp then you can dry your hair then wrap set it- this will make it shiner and give it more volume

Here is a summary of my women black hair care secrets

In short here is what you need to do with Mira hair oil for great black hair results

Step 1- take a shower and do not shampoo your hair, simply condition it
step two you want to towel dry your hair

Next apply some Mira hair oil to make your hair easier to style

You can now straighten small sections of your black hair at a time an d spay your hair with hair spray.
Now you can straighten your black hair, when done you can start spraying shine-spray which is like hairspray but ads shine to hair.
Now you can enjoy your straight black hair look!

African-American/Black hair in general is more brittle, coarser, dryer and curlier (nappy) than those of non-African decent. Because of this hair care for a Caucasian would be different than for an African, who needs to be more careful when treating his/her hair because it is more delicate.

Another feature of black hair is that it is irregular in diameter. Neither the fiber diameter nor the cuticle diameter is the same all through its length. Because of this typical structure and coiling structure the hair has many fragile points. The outside of a tight curl puts stress on the outer hair fiber cortex and cuticle. At some points outside the curls, cuticle becomes very thin and flakes easily. These areas of stress in the hair fiber are prone to damage by chemicals. Even vigorous combing is enough to flake the cuticle and damage the hair.

Another undesirable feature of the black hair is its low moisture content. This character also makes the black hair more susceptible to weathering. Since the black hair is too curly in nature, it is difficult to comb. It is prone to hair breakage and hair shedding.

Because of these difficulties, black hair requires more care than any other type of hair. The following black hair care tips help in preventing some damage to which it is naturally susceptible.

Massage the scalp regularly to encourage oil production.

Always use a wide-toothed Afro comb. Combing helps spread the natural oil through the hair, making it look shinier and healthier.

Use intensive pre-shampoo treatments

Shampoo your black hair as often as you feel necessary but only lather once, using a small amount of shampoo. Rinse thoroughly.

Always towel-blow your hair and never rub it with towel.

Try a hot oil treatment once a month. It lubricates dry scalp and help in moisturizing black hair.

Choose non-greasy formulas for your hair gel so that they don’t take away the healthy sheen.

If you want to braid your black hair, use a softening shampoo that maintains the right moisture balance. You can also try a natural oil based moisturizer.

While combing your hair, start from the tips and work towards the roots, it will be less damaging to the hair.

Have a regular trim to remove split ends as it prevents hair breakage.

Whether it’s in cornrow, braids or bun, try not to repeat the same ‘pull-back’ hairstyle too often. The stress on the hair may cause it to weaken around the edges.

Try to avoid the use of heat treatments, chemical relaxers or hot hair drying of your hair.

Cotton pillow cases and sheets help in breakage, use a silk or satin scarf to wrap up your hair while sleeping.

Besides these natural hair care tips, there are certain black hair products that can be used for taking care of your hair. Black hair has its own specific characters and its unique problems. So special black hair growth products need to specially formulated for taking care of the more fragile black hair. The best black hair care or hair growth products are the ones that use the natural hair care products.

Can I remove a relaxer from my hair?

If you’ve read this far, you probably already realize the answer is “no”. Permanents are called permanent for good reason. The bonds in the hair are destroyed when the hair is relaxed. The part of the hair that has been relaxed will never be “natural” again. The only way to get rid of relaxed hair is to cut it off or wait for it to break off. Waiting for the hair to break off is not a good transition option. But, some women choose it because they are uncomfortable giving up the length they’ve worked hard to get. There are ways to transition from relaxed hair to natural hair. But, the relaxed hair will never be natural again.

Stay away from Sodium Laurel Sulfate products: Always look for ammonium lureal based products – less irration to scalp due to a larger molecular structure, less penetration into pores. Shampoos are not made for conditioning or moisturizing, they are made for cleaning action. Always shampoo and rinse. Never leave shampoo on hair for very long.

The Secret lies in using Black Hair Care Product that is Natural, contains no Mineral Oil or Harmful Chemicals, and provide your Black Hair, Care, Shine and Natural Growth. Nubian Silk Stimul-X hair growth system is the right choice for you

Everything in the world has its myths, something that is believed to be true while being completely unreal. Hair and hair style are no exclusion. It is a common knowledge that there is something we can’t understand about hair growth and nature, and when we can’t find the truth, we add fiction.

In the world of Sedu hairstyles there are certain myths as well. They concerned with hair in general, hair straightening and styling, straighteners and blow dryers. To the average citizen, a Sedu hairstyle is one great myth itself.

These are the most popular hair myths about Sedu hairstyles revealed.

Hair Myth #1: Sedu Hairstyle is Long Straight and Blond

Well, this hair myth has grown up from the Hollywood stereotypes. And even though we should admit that most celebrities sport blond long hairstyles, real Sedu hairstyle can be of any length and any color. The only truth about this stereotype is straightness. Originally Sedu hairstyle was considered to be straight, but today some bottom curls and flips, as well as sexy waves are acceptable.

So, enjoy your hazel, black, red, or chestnut hair color together with short or medium hair length. Every hair style that is straight can be Sedu.

Hair Myth #2: Sedu Hairstyle Can Only Be Achieved with Sedu Hair Straightener

To answer this question, we should appeal to the origin of the world Sedu. In the beginning, term ‘Sedu’ was invented by the company Sedu Beauty. It is the contracted form of the word “seductive”. This company has brought the questions about Sedu Beauty, Sedu Style and Hairstyle, Sedu Image and so on… to the public.

Today, however, this term is sported when speaking about certain types of style and hairstyle without any regard to the means, by which such style or hairstyle is created.

That is why, the answer is simple: Sedu Hairstyle can be created with any tools available. Though, the best results are obtained, of course, with the use of the parental accessories, that is – Sedu hair straighteners.

Hair Myth #3: Constant Application of the Straightening Tools Damages Hair

Hair damage is one of the most serious problems people face when dealing with various hair styles. Constant dyeing, chemical treatment, and other influences on hair lead to hair thinning, loss of elasticity and shine.

But there are two ways of hair straightening: chemical and heat application. They differ in results and influence on hair. With modern technologies the heat application becomes more and more safe both for hair and scalp, while chemical treatment remains still chemical.

What should be stated clearly is that chemical application is any way damaging, while heat treatment can damage hair only if the flat iron is used wrongly and without precautions.

So, don’t be afraid to use flat iron on your hair, but read the instruction first.

Hair Myth #4: Blow Drying Makes Hair Tangled

Sedu hairstyle needs constant blow drying. We always lack time to leave our hair air dry. That is why problems with blow drying are crucial to Sedu hair styling.

Blow drying is the process that requires no certain skills. You turn on your dryer, bring it to your hair, and it dries it up. But there are several things that can go wrong during drying:

You can bring dryer too close to the hair. The recommended distance is 1 foot.

You can use setting, which is too hot. This can over dry your scalp, though serious damage to the hair hasn’t been noticed.

You can use no conditioner. Conditioner itself is made to ease combing and styling. So, when you don’t condition your hair, you consciously decide to struggle with uncontrollable hair.

The bottom line is following: check that you are doing everything right, before claiming that some product is harmful.

Hair Myth #5: Sedu Hair Straightener Makes Your Hair Split

False. Any heat applied to the hair, especially flat irons, smoothes the hair. It helps to glue hair scales of every hair together. Split ends are caused by the over drying, over dyeing, or over processing of the hair.

Usually it is impossible to cure split ends, so they should be trimmed. Recommended time period for trimming is six weeks.

As you see for yourself, hair myths are only hair myths, and the truth is always more interesting, or complicated. Sedu hairstyles created many gossips and fables because of their fresh look and really seductive nature along with the easiness of creation.

However, many people including celebrities enjoy having Sedu hairstyles without any regard to the mythological background of Sedu hairstyle notion.

Emo hair style

Emo isn’t just a hairstyle; it is a way of life! The style was started by a group of teenager’s labeled emos, or those who loved to listen to emotional music. Emos started the style by the way they dressed. The dress was plain and the holed jeans and thick clothing was just the beginning because the style soon turned into hair. Emo hairstyles today aren’t just used or worn by fully dedicated Emos but are instead found on many individuals who just find the look stylish! The Emo hair style is mostly worn by those in their 20’s but it is found in many different age categories, and it can be worn by either gender! Here are a few facts about the Emo hair style:

* Jet black is the Emo trademark. If anything captures the Emo spirit the most it is the jet black hair that long enough to fall over the individual’s right eye. The bangs must be long enough to do this so that virtually no part of the person’s right side face is visible to anyone! * Emo styles come with choices. Just because the Emo style is trademarked with dark black hair color and over the face arrangements, an Emo can still have a few options with how they wear their hair. Among the options is whether they want it greasy or clean. Many Emos believe that greasy is the way to go because the band members of their favorite groups wear it this way; while others opts for the cleaner, more socially accepted Emo style. Whatever your choice you can be sure you’ll be within the Emo style either way! * Emo styles can be found at many stylist locations. Many professional stylists have learned the Emo style because it has been requested so much. If you’re looking to delve into the Emo hair style for the first time then it is recommended you go to a stylist who has experience with the look. A stylist can also help you decide whether highlights are right for you as well (Yes, that’s right, Emo hairstyles can come equipped with highlights!). * Thin is better for Emo style! If you’re wondering what type of hair looks best with the Emo style then thin is the winner! While you can pull the look off with thick hair, it will be much easier with thinner hair. If your hair is super thick then you may want to use a hair thinner to get your hair to the appropriate level.

five 2 Strand Twist ponytail
Help answer the question about box braids styles
Box braids/ extensions/ hair loss. hELP!?
Hi. I am a 17 year old African American female and 5 days ago I got box braids for the first time. I am currently transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair and I figured this would make it an easier process. Well, I am already experiencing hair loss around the edges and the braids are very tight. I do not want to take them out because I paid $185 to have it done, but at the same time, I do not want my hair to come out. Is there a way I can keep the braids and stop the breakage before it gets worse or should I just take tem out?

Also, my natural hair is past my shoulders, so it took a bulk of weave to get this style, which also causes even more pulling and stress for my scalp.
