Decorative Garland:

A garland is usually a decorative type of wreath or a braided cord, which can be used year round or just at festive occasions. The word “garland” actually comes from the French word “guirlande” which means “a wreath of flowers”. These braided cords can be small and hung around a person’s neck, or placed on the head, or larger and hung on inanimate objects. Originally garlands and wreaths were made of flowers and/or leaves. These were worn on people’s heads, around their necks and draped around buildings. Today they can be artificial or real; some of the more popular types are made of flowers, leaves, tinsel, pine or a combination of any of these. Many people prefer the artificial as it will last longer and can be used many times. And today it is very hard to tell the difference between real and artificial garland without a close examination.

Uses for Garland:

Garland can generally be used at anytime of the year to add an extra touch to make the home look nicer or it can be used just for special occasions to really help make things stand out, such as at:

• Weddings
• Birthdays
• Receptions
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas
• Parties

At these occasions it can be hung around the party room, or for outdoor venues it can be placed on or around the tables, gazebo or the buildings itself. It helps to give the occasion a look of nature, symbolizing a rebirth, a new beginning, that it is growing and to show that hope springs eternal. Garland has been used around the world for thousands of years at festivals and special occasions for this same symbolic purpose.

Garland at Weddings:

This is where the type of decoration is determined by the type of party or event. Ribbons or bows are a common way of decorating the garland. For a birthday a more colorful ribbon would be used and of course for Christmas most use a red ribbon or red bows. For weddings, people often use ribbons or bows that are white, or ivory, or the color of the brides-maids dresses. A colored ribbon could be wrapped around the garland before it is hung or bows could be hung on the garland at certain locations. There are even special hangers that you can use when hanging garland. These will fit over most doors or banisters to allow you to hang the garland pretty much anyway that you would like to and keep it from sliding around. Some weddings might even use the garland to form a circle on the ground around the bride and groom as a representation of their never ending love or love as one eternal round. With garland being like a braid it makes picking it up to store it away very easy, as it can be coiled up like an electric cord and placed in a plastic bag and or in a box to be stored away until it’s next use.

Hair has an overwhelming importance in many cultures. It is seen as a crown of beauty, shaped to create beautiful things, and even adorned with jewels to highlight its magnificence. In Western cultures, hair styles, cuts, and care pervades fashion, style, and even health magazines, all seeking to pump a new product or an adventurous celebrity hair cut. Yet, despite our endless search for the ultimate hair fitness or the perfect hairdo, men and women alike often find their hair in shambles, destroyed from gels, mousses, sprays, heat styling, and bad cuts from over zealous stylists. Before you read another Allure’s best article, borage yourself with new drugstore products, or quote the newest celebrity stylist hair tip, here are some myths and truths about hair and hair care.

As a trichologist and former cosmetic chemist, I have heard and, unfortunately, seen some of the hair and scalp horror stories. While I champion personal grooming and loving and discovering your hair, brilliant hair care should not come at a risk to your hair or scalp health. Here are some things that you should be know.

Truth # 1 Your Hair is Dead, But Your Scalp and the Hair Follicles that Push From the Scalp are ALIVE

Secretly, the most top reputed cosmetic companies will tell you that there is nothing you can do to remedy your hair woes because in reality the hair is dead. And, frankly, this is true if you are using about 98% of the products on the synthetic or non-prescriptive products on the market. Generally, all products are virtually the same, so much that they are created by the same companies and masked under different brands. For example, Estee Lauder is Aveda, Origins and Bumble & Bumble. Loreal is made by the same company as Matrix, Mizani, The Body Shop, Keratese, Garnier, Soft Sheen Carson, Redken, Lancome and Nexxus. This list goes on forever and generally all the products contain the same chemically derived ingredients in a different concentrations. The only difference is the packaging, the fragrance, the chemical dye of the product, or the list of extracts dashed inside. Because many consumers buy frequently off of packaging, they are often duped and run into buying the same products under different names over and over. This causes you to feel that there is nothing that you can do to help your hair, and the message is only hammered home when someone tells you that your hair is dead, your hair cannot repair itself, your hair cannot grow.

But, what you must remember is that scalp health and the providing of nutrients to the scalp is critical for healthy tresses. The hair at the scalp root is quite alive. Have you ever pulled a hair from your scalp? It hurts quite a bit because that is hair is hooked to the follicle and is receiving nourishment from the follicle, which is receiving its nourishing from what is applied to the scalp and what you give the body internally. However, if you feed you hair what it needs to thrive, as it sprouts, its health will show. So what can you do?

TIP# 1 Eat for your hair and overall body scalp.

I have discovered that patients who are often plagued repeatedly with dry scalp and scalp fungus have anti-inflammatory difficulties and dry skin overall. Introduce moisturizing and anti-inflammatory supplements into your diet, such as Evening Primrose Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Biotin, Olive Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Pantothenic Acid, and Green Tea. I have truly seen tremendous results in patients’ hair and scalp shine, texture, health, and moisture within 4 weeks of changing their diet or adding oils rich in essential fatty acids to their daily supplement cocktail. To further increase the health of the hair and scalp, apply oil rich products that are water based to your scalp. Yes, oils have gotten a harsh wrap in hair care, but in many cultures, especially those with luxurious hair, oils are a necessary requirement. As an Indian myself, Amla, Brahmi, Coconut, Neem, and many other oils are in daily application to my hair to maintain its beauty. I personally love Beauty 4 Ashes’ Mango Scalp Nourish Hair Cream and their Ayurvedic Scalp Food Cream. These creams are lightweight and very soothing to the scalp, especially if you are not comfortable mixing oils yourself and have trouble styling your hair after the application of the oil. A few of my patients have also documented increased hair fullness after increasing their intake of fruits, oils, and nuts and applying Beauty 4 Ashes’ Ayurvedic Scalp Food Cream, which can be found in the UK at mybeauty4ashes.com. These products have had quite a success rate in the States at discoverb4a.com and also in Canada at myb4a.com

Truth # 2 Your Hair Can Grow if You Do Not Cut It

I love the versatility of long hair, and many others do as well. But, there is also beauty in a wonderful cut. Yet, many of my patients come to me expressing deep sadness about their hair thickness or length. I often hear them stating that they desire longer hair, but their hair cannot grow and when it does, their stylist cuts it because it has some form of splitting ends or breakage. It often strikes me as absurd. In India, I went years without hair cuts. It was simply braided or just worn. Further, individuals who have dredlocks may cut their hair very infrequently, and may even burn the ends of the hair to create uniformity and neatness, yet their hair still increases length. I desire more than anything to dispel this lie. You hair can grow without frequents trims to it. While it may grow uneven or even have some splitting, this is common because each hair that sprouts from the hair follicle is on its own timeline. Since some sprouted yesterday and some today, of course they will be different lengths and may split. But, since the hair grows from the root, not the end, your hair can grow, even if you do not cut the end.

Tip #2: If you want your hair to see more length, do not cut your hair, instead nourish it gently to prevent as much damage as possible.

If you want your hair to grow, and you plan on not trimming it, understand that it may not look celebrity like—perfectly even and shaped. But, it still can have volume, shine, and health. During this time, make sure you moisturize the ends, using something as simple as Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Lanolin Butter, or even natural hair cream. Natural works best for the hair. Because your hair is a part of you, and you work best on natural nutrients, such as vitamins, proteins, oils, nuts, and the like, it is best to give your hair what you would give your body. Make sure you gently comb your hair during this time as well. This will prevent breakage. And, as mentioned above, do not neglect your scalp.

Truth # 3: Chemicals can hurt the hair

Natural works best for the hair. Because your hair is a part of you, and you work best on natural nutrients, such as vitamins, proteins, oils, nuts, and the like, it is best to give your hair what you would give your body. Products that contain chemicals can create amazing momentary effects. But, they are only hair bandages that use silicones, polymers, plasticizers, straighteners, softening agents, and chlorides to alter the feel and look of your hair for a very temporary period. For this sweet moment of gratification, you often live with years of hair damage or have to endure chemicals that canb negatively impact your health. A constant scalp condition I encountered due to chemicals is purple and red bumps on the scalp from chemical hair dyes. I also often see thick patches of the scalp from the repeated use of shampoos containing SLS, Behetrimonium Chloride, and ALS. Despite the hoorah about chemicals not being bad, many of the chemicals used in hair care products are derived from petroleum or alcohol. Petroleum is toxic and alcohol is very drying and damaging.

Tip #3 Buy Natural, Change Your Hair

Salon quality and great products can be found with all natural products. Of course, be cognizant of semi natural products and those that use parentheses to indicate something is derived from a natural ingredient. 100% natural products are out there. And, if anyone tries to discourage you, and they will (I had a patient tell my that Paula someone wrote about how herbs, fruits, and oils are awful for your hair —how absurd the things we will believe), just ignore them. As a trichologist, I am personally privy to the reality that over 25% of pharmaceutical products are made of plant compounds. As doctors, we search from cures to the hair, skin, and body from rain forests and then apply for the patent, label it as a drug, and rename the plant so that our consumers are not privy to the plant origins. Trust me, your hair will behave better by using natural products. Aubrey Organics and Beauty 4 Ashes make excellent 100% natural products. If you have specific hair care needs, Beauty 4 Ashes has more variety in its product selection and makes products that are suitable for all hair types.

African-American/Black hair in general is more brittle, coarser, dryer and curlier (nappy) than those of non-African decent. Because of this hair care for a Caucasian would be different than for an African, who needs to be more careful when treating his/her hair because it is more delicate.

Another feature of black hair is that it is irregular in diameter. Neither the fiber diameter nor the cuticle diameter is the same all through its length. Because of this typical structure and coiling structure the hair has many fragile points. The outside of a tight curl puts stress on the outer hair fiber cortex and cuticle. At some points outside the curls, cuticle becomes very thin and flakes easily. These areas of stress in the hair fiber are prone to damage by chemicals. Even vigorous combing is enough to flake the cuticle and damage the hair.

Another undesirable feature of the black hair is its low moisture content. This character also makes the black hair more susceptible to weathering. Since the black hair is too curly in nature, it is difficult to comb. It is prone to hair breakage and hair shedding.

Because of these difficulties, black hair requires more care than any other type of hair. The following black hair care tips help in preventing some damage to which it is naturally susceptible.

Massage the scalp regularly to encourage oil production.

Always use a wide-toothed Afro comb. Combing helps spread the natural oil through the hair, making it look shinier and healthier.

Use intensive pre-shampoo treatments

Shampoo your black hair as often as you feel necessary but only lather once, using a small amount of shampoo. Rinse thoroughly.

Always towel-blow your hair and never rub it with towel.

Try a hot oil treatment once a month. It lubricates dry scalp and help in moisturizing black hair.

Choose non-greasy formulas for your hair gel so that they don’t take away the healthy sheen.

If you want to braid your black hair, use a softening shampoo that maintains the right moisture balance. You can also try a natural oil based moisturizer.

While combing your hair, start from the tips and work towards the roots, it will be less damaging to the hair.

Have a regular trim to remove split ends as it prevents hair breakage.

Whether it’s in cornrow, braids or bun, try not to repeat the same ‘pull-back’ hairstyle too often. The stress on the hair may cause it to weaken around the edges.

Try to avoid the use of heat treatments, chemical relaxers or hot hair drying of your hair.

Cotton pillow cases and sheets help in breakage, use a silk or satin scarf to wrap up your hair while sleeping.

Besides these natural hair care tips, there are certain black hair products that can be used for taking care of your hair. Black hair has its own specific characters and its unique problems. So special black hair growth products need to specially formulated for taking care of the more fragile black hair. The best black hair care or hair growth products are the ones that use the natural hair care products.

Can I remove a relaxer from my hair?

If you’ve read this far, you probably already realize the answer is “no”. Permanents are called permanent for good reason. The bonds in the hair are destroyed when the hair is relaxed. The part of the hair that has been relaxed will never be “natural” again. The only way to get rid of relaxed hair is to cut it off or wait for it to break off. Waiting for the hair to break off is not a good transition option. But, some women choose it because they are uncomfortable giving up the length they’ve worked hard to get. There are ways to transition from relaxed hair to natural hair. But, the relaxed hair will never be natural again.

Stay away from Sodium Laurel Sulfate products: Always look for ammonium lureal based products – less irration to scalp due to a larger molecular structure, less penetration into pores. Shampoos are not made for conditioning or moisturizing, they are made for cleaning action. Always shampoo and rinse. Never leave shampoo on hair for very long.

The Secret lies in using Black Hair Care Product that is Natural, contains no Mineral Oil or Harmful Chemicals, and provide your Black Hair, Care, Shine and Natural Growth. Nubian Silk Stimul-X hair growth system is the right choice for you

Emo hair style

Emo isn’t just a hairstyle; it is a way of life! The style was started by a group of teenager’s labeled emos, or those who loved to listen to emotional music. Emos started the style by the way they dressed. The dress was plain and the holed jeans and thick clothing was just the beginning because the style soon turned into hair. Emo hairstyles today aren’t just used or worn by fully dedicated Emos but are instead found on many individuals who just find the look stylish! The Emo hair style is mostly worn by those in their 20’s but it is found in many different age categories, and it can be worn by either gender! Here are a few facts about the Emo hair style:

* Jet black is the Emo trademark. If anything captures the Emo spirit the most it is the jet black hair that long enough to fall over the individual’s right eye. The bangs must be long enough to do this so that virtually no part of the person’s right side face is visible to anyone! * Emo styles come with choices. Just because the Emo style is trademarked with dark black hair color and over the face arrangements, an Emo can still have a few options with how they wear their hair. Among the options is whether they want it greasy or clean. Many Emos believe that greasy is the way to go because the band members of their favorite groups wear it this way; while others opts for the cleaner, more socially accepted Emo style. Whatever your choice you can be sure you’ll be within the Emo style either way! * Emo styles can be found at many stylist locations. Many professional stylists have learned the Emo style because it has been requested so much. If you’re looking to delve into the Emo hair style for the first time then it is recommended you go to a stylist who has experience with the look. A stylist can also help you decide whether highlights are right for you as well (Yes, that’s right, Emo hairstyles can come equipped with highlights!). * Thin is better for Emo style! If you’re wondering what type of hair looks best with the Emo style then thin is the winner! While you can pull the look off with thick hair, it will be much easier with thinner hair. If your hair is super thick then you may want to use a hair thinner to get your hair to the appropriate level.

five 2 Strand Twist ponytail
Help answer the question about box braids styles
Box braids/ extensions/ hair loss. hELP!?
Hi. I am a 17 year old African American female and 5 days ago I got box braids for the first time. I am currently transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair and I figured this would make it an easier process. Well, I am already experiencing hair loss around the edges and the braids are very tight. I do not want to take them out because I paid $185 to have it done, but at the same time, I do not want my hair to come out. Is there a way I can keep the braids and stop the breakage before it gets worse or should I just take tem out?

Also, my natural hair is past my shoulders, so it took a bulk of weave to get this style, which also causes even more pulling and stress for my scalp.

Making the right choices for window coverings is a big decision, and with so many choices available, which treatments are right for your home?

With these 10 easy guidelines, you’ll be able to choose just the right treatment for every window and make your home more beautiful, while adding to it’s market value.

1. Easy and Budget-Friendly

One of the easiest and least expensive ways to dress windows is to start with an inexpensive window treatment and improve on it. We like to use a simple, rod pocket panels as a base for the following solutions because they are readily available, inexpensive and can be modified a dozen ways to look like a designer window treatment. Softline has the most extensive line of panels we’ve found, and their quality and pricepoint are excellent.

Adding trims to panels is easy and can be used in so many variations. The more elaborate and upscale your trim selections, the more upscale your panel will look.

Clip rings and grommets are the next most popular tools for our design team. With clip rings, you can easily fold in pleats and clip them; or you can layer sheer panels over solid or textured panels. Create tab top panels using flat 2″ – 3″ braided trim.

You can also use flat braided trims to create a Specialty Valance, by fan folding the panel and using the trim in loops to hold the folds.

2. Alternatives to Wood Blinds and Shutters

Ok, so every house on the block has wood blinds or shutters — boring! And what about cleaning — each of those slats needs to be dusted every month or so — yuk!

Try Woven Wood and Roman Shades. Shades are a dramatic addition to your design and are much easier to clean and maintain. Shades add texture, color, pattern and beauty to a room.

Woven Woods are available in hundreds of styles and finishes. Unlined, they offer a light filtering component; and lining them gives complete privacy and light control. You’ll be amazed how rich and elegant they look.

Roman Shades are great for adding color, texture and pattern. You can choose virtually any multipurpose weight fabric to coordinate with the other fabrics in the room.

3. Odd-Shaped or Odd-Sized Windows

In dealing with small windows, create the perception of larger windows by hanging side panels over the wall, so that the panels just barely cover the edges of the window.

For two-story tall windows, use side panels just on the outside of the windows, rather than in between or on both sides of multiple windows. Also, it works well to create a dramatic topper like a large Specialty Valance or Kingston Valance to draw attention to the top of the windows.

For those pesky arches, try hanging side panels at the height of the top of the arch, but at the width of the lower window. Cellular shades also work well here, mounted between the arch and the lower window allows clear viewing through both windows, but adds beauty and color to your decor.

4. Light Control Issues

The level of desired light control varies from filtered to black out.

Sheer panels and cellular shades are excellent solutions for filtering light. You can adjust the amount of light and visibility you desire by increasing or decreasing the number of panels on a rod. The tighter they fit on the rod, the more light and visibility will be filtered out.

Cellular shades have come a long way from their early roots. Hunter Douglas has the best selection and highest quality that we’ve found. There are shades that have internal flaps, similar to blinds, that are encased in sheer fabric. With these, you can enjoy varying degrees of light and visibility filtering — from see through to total privacy. Don’t overlook cellular shades until you’ve seen the latest styles and trends. An added bonus is their ease in cleaning.

Blackout features are available in virtually any style window covering. You can have panels, Roman shades, cellular and Woven Woods lined in Blackout lining. There are some fabrics that have the blackout qualities worked right into them, Fabricut has an entire book dedicated to different colors of blackout fabric.

5. Privacy Issues

Nothing is more bothersome than having your neighbor’s window looking right into yours. While most of us think immediately to products that completely block visibility and light, like blinds, shutters and heavy panels, it isn’t always necessary to resort to those extremes.

Remember, that during daylight hours, a filtering product will give you privacy because it is lighter outside than inside. However, at night, the light in your home will create a fishbowl effect and your neighbors will see into your home easily. So it is important to combine solution that give you total privacy control.

Today’s traverse rods aren’t your grandmother’s rods anymore. They are decorative, adding to the overall beauty of the room with finials and wood finishes in virtually any color and style. Adding rings, either clip-on or sewn on, is another easy way to get working panels. The rings glide easily across the rod for opening or closing.

6. What If You Already Have Blinds Or Shutters in Place?

If you already have blinds or shutters and don’t want to replace them, you can easily add additional treatments that will enhance your room’s beauty.

Adding toppers and/or side panels is the easiest solution. For added pizzazz, try the modified solutions in #1, above.

Another option is to consider hard cornices. A hard cornice is really simple — it is a wood frame with quilt batting and fabric stapled to it. Knowing that, you can imagine how easy they would be to make yourself.

It is easy to be creative with hard cornices. You can run one long cornice over several windows to unify a wall. Even in bay windows, the corners can be mitered to create a single long cornice.

You can use hard cornices over panels, as well. They are exceptionally good at creating the perception of bigger windows. Make a cornice extra wide, then mount a rod and panels on each side. This will make your window look bigger than it really is.

7. French Doors — A Special Problem

French doors are a special problem. They ruin traditional blinds and shutters, because the doorknob interferes with the slats.

The single best solution for French doors is the Roman Shade. The shade cam be mounted so it is flush with the window/door and can be raised during the daytime. This completely eliminates the doorknob problem and gives you the look of a valance/topper during the day.

Roller Shades are coming back in style — not the kind you remember, but decorative, stylish window dress-ups. By applying fabric to a roller shade, it becomes a beautiful accent to any room.

8. Wholesale Custom Window Treatments

Wholesale custom window treatment programs typically offer you a select number of styles, combined with a select number of fabrics to give you an overall cost savings of about 40% – 60% off designer custom window treatments. Some companies refer to their wholesale program as Custom Selects or Made-to-Measure.

These programs offer you the ability to choose a style, choose your fabric and have your window treatment custom made. However, just because these are “wholesale” with limited selections, doesn’t mean they are not fabulous.

9. Designer Custom Window Treatments

Custom window treatments give you the most options for handling all of your needs — beauty, light control, and privacy. An interior designer will typically visit you in your home and consult with you about fabrics, styles, functionality and budget.

You can expect that this solution will be more expensive than other options, but you will have the ultimate in service, style and value added to your home.

10. Choosing the Right Hardware

So many homeowners make the mistake of creating fabulous window treatments, only to choose the wrong hardware. Many big box stores offer only the basics — a dozen styles, a few colors and 2 or 3 sizes. A specialty store will carry thousands of options and will have products for every budget.

We recommend going beyond your local big box stores when you choose your window hardware. Most of the big box stores offer only a limited selection of styles and colors. Find a local store that specializes in window treatments; they will have numerous window hardware resources that will give you unlimited selection at all price points — from budget-friendly to elegant, designer quality hardware.

The bottom line is don’t scrimp on hardware. Using a 2″ rod because it is available at a big box store, instead of a 3″ rod is the difference between using generic brands over name brands — sometimes it doesn’t make a difference, but you’ve got to know when the name brand is necessary to pull it off successfully.

With these Top 10 Solutions, you’ve got everything you need to create dramatic, designer window treatments on virtually any budget. Find dealers near you that offer the best options for you. Use the Internet to visit manufacturer’s websites, research options, view catalogs and locate a local dealer near you. Then enjoy yourself and create window dressings that you will enjoy for years to come.

Anya Hindmarch’s trendy “I am Not A Plastic Bag” design makes enormous gains in popularity, which sold out of London stores just hours after being released. The aim of the design is simple — to encourage people not to use plastic carrier bags. The simple bag has become a symbol of ethical intent – and a very fashionable one at that.

The popularity of this bag should be proof that consumers are willing and excited to have some non-plastic reusable alternatives. Hindmarch told the media: “I hate the idea of making the environment trendy, but you need to make it cool and then it becomes a habit.”

We are now pleased to see all kinds of reusable bags step into the market and become a focus. Bag manufacturers have sensed this trend and making actions.

Reusable Fabric Options – No More Plastic Bag

String bag: This bag is completely lightweight yet able to carry a lot of groceries. The best thing about it is its ability to stretch, so just when you think you’ve fit all that, you can still throw in that last stuff. Meanwhile, the problem with the string bag is its lack of structure when loading and also the perception that it could be unsanitary, especially when it comes to food.

Lightweight Nylon: The cool thing about this alternative is that it fits in with the current system for bagging groceries at the check-out counter. It is a more durable but still lightweight material compared to the plastic bag. But again it lacks structure when loading.

Heavy Duty Nylon: This bag is made to last a lifetime. Tote bag often made of this heavy nylon. It resembles a traditional paper grocery bag with some added handles; it stands nicely on its own for easy packing. However with that durability and quality of materials come a not-so-compact package. It folds similarly to a paper grocery bag.

Each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. The thing is, they all have the potential to save thousands of throw away PGBs from plastic bags.

Supplementary to Typical Leather Handbag or Designer Bag

At first blush, the trend of reusable shopping bags would seem at odds with the explosive growth of high-end handbags. But it turns out that some consumers are eager to walk around with a $1,000 Coach purse on one arm and the Coach shopping bag it came in on the other.

Until recently, high-priced, top-of-the-line imported handbags were a status symbol. But today, designer goods have flooded the market, are no longer as exclusive as they once were. Every woman needs a leather handbag or a designer bag, but they also need a practical bag, such as a tote bag or shopping bag for holding many stuff that their leather bag can’t handle, such as A4 document, a cup of coffee, lunch box, some big accessories…

For example, last summer in 2007, many women in china are choosing straw bags for their reasonable price, their suitability for the summer season, and the possibility of matching them up with many different styles. The best of all, it is nature and reusable.

Pattern and Style Choice

Environmental friendly people want to be associated and seen with natural fabric bags. Available in soft and natural hues, some bags ooze class and concern. Multicolored patchwork bags, printed bags, embroidered and embossed bags are everyone’s favorite.

In bag related trade shows, lots of design elements and latest fashion trend is revealed. Certain bags are cute, featuring a corsage, embroidered beads, or braided ribbons as decoration, while others are more flashy, featuring rhinestones, of are inspired by classic Asian styles, with wooden beads or sea shells. There are bags for all outfits and occasions. Some women at fireworks festivals and other summer events this year prefer carrying straw bags. Some bags can be paired with dresses for a softer, more feminine look, but they also go will with slightly mannish short-sleeved jackets and pants sets and suits. Anyway, versatility is an appeal.

Popular Items – Straw Bag, Tote Bag in Green Design

Tote Shopping Bag – Big and Practical

Big is the fashion. Bags get bigger with cooler weather because you have more to carry (umbrellas, wraps, hats). Nearly every woman has at least one tote bag, whether it’s for a day at the beach, a picnic, browsing at the flea market or just a day at the mall. After all, a good tote bag is very popular – an absolutely indispensable item. Because canvas tote bags come in a variety of designs and styles, you can match them with coordinating sandals, a t-shirt, gym clothes, or your favorite dress. You can make a bold fashion statement with these versatile bags. Tote bags can replace traditional plastic and paper shopping bags. After you use the tote bags for groceries, fold them and place them near the door so you can pick them up next time on your way.

Straw Fashion

Straw handbags combine colorful and funky designs with the latest trends for natural looks and environment-friendly statements, carrying a unique appeal to consumers. Compared to the conventional leather and fabric handbags, they are much lighter. The use of natural grass also fits in with the trend for environmental protection, while many handbags even come as “natural” straw to accentuate their appeal – and probably even enhance health requirements for the product.

Trend or Demand for Future Reusable Bag Industry

The reusable bag is still the bag of choice for most occasions under the prevailing theme about environment protection. So people would strive to make it better, and the solution should be a bag that is, (I mean many kinds of bag suited to different occasions):

  1 Easily  folded flat, both for storage at the checkout counter and for refolding for the  return journey;

2 Relatively inexpensive to produce, so the supermarket and grocery stores would use it in greater amount not worrying about their cost control.

  3 Made of  durable, sustainable materials that give the bag structure but also keep it  lightweight;

  4 Easy to  carry, possibly in different configurations (traditional handles, over the  shoulder, etc);

5 Has an appropriate strategy for end-of-life disposal when it is finally properly disposed of after a lifetime of good use.

6 Not only durable and long lasting, but also attractive, comfortable and classy.

The last point means that the reusable bags can also be connected to “fashion”. When you think of the “I’m not a plastic bag” craze though many western countries recently.

Alluring Business Potential for Reusable Bags in this Eco-friendly Market Atmosphere

Use of recyclable and reusable bags has now been promoted as a lifestyle. In cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, customers have begun treating eco-friendly bags such as nylon bag as an indispensable accessory that can be reused for weeks, even months, to carry laundry to the cleaners, books to the beach or lunch to the office.

These bags are the most popular choice for both corporate as well as personal gifting. So stores or manufacturers, sensing a marketing opportunity, are racing to a heated competition to make the most durable, fashionable reusable bags. From upscale emporiums to midprice chains, retailers are investing millions of dollars in new flourishes like plastic-coated paper and heavy fabric cord handles.
